Jennifer Lopez wants her name back
Jennifer Lopez has requested to shed Marc Anthony's last name from her moniker on legal documents in their ongoing divorce proceedings.
The 'On the Floor' singer is legally known as Jennifer Muniz, after taking on her ex-husband's legal last name when they married in 2004, but now she has requested to revert back to her maiden name, Lopez - which is also her professional moniker - in a legal response to the couple's ongoing divorce proceedings.
According to gossip website TMZ, Jennifer and Marc's petitions are identical on custody issues and the couple are asking for joint legal and physical custody of their five-year-old twins, Max and Emme.
Marc filed for divorce from the 44-year-old singer in April last year after they officially separated in 2011.
Jennifer has since been in a long term relationship with choreographer Casper Smart, while Marc has been dating Topshop heiress Chloe Green since February this year.
The 'Dance Again' songstress previously claimed her heartbreaking split from Marc, 45, had left her ''depressed''.
She said: ''It was very hard to get up in the morning. Very hard. When you're depressed and sad all the time it's very difficult.
''I felt like my whole life had fallen apart. What I had known for seven or eight years with my children and everything, it was just ... boom! An explosion!''
