Teen Mom 3 Cancelled: MTV Cancels Show as Cast Reacts and Twitter Feuds Follow
MTV has officially cancelled their reality TV series Teen Mom 3. The show followed the lives of four teen mothers: Alex Sekella, Briana DeJesus, Mackenzie Douthit-McKee, and Katie Yeager. After only one season of Teen Mom 3, MTV has pulled the plug on the girls, most likely due to the series’ all-time low ratings.
After the Teen Mom 3’s cancellation, the Teen Moms took to Twitter to express how they felt about it, and in true Teen Mom fashion, drama ensued.
Katie Yeager took the high road, and expressed her thankfulness for being a part of the series, and how excited she was to get back to a “normal life.” She tweeted this message to her fans: “I’m grateful for this experience. Molli [her daughter] and I are ready to move on from this and live a normal life. Thanks for all the love and support.”

Unfortunately, some of the other Teen Moms weren’t as mature about the cancellation. Alex Sekella seemed to take it personally, and took to Twitter to attack other members of the Teen Mom franchise. She caused an uproar on Twitter when she tweeted this, “Yes no more Teen Mom 3. Guess we weren’t enough of train wrecks for it to be interesting. America wants to watch crazies oh well.” Jenelle Evans, of Teen Mom 2 took offense to Alex’s comment and responded, “All u TeemMom3 ladies can put me down all yu want, yr not making yrself look any better. Let it go already.” Kailyn Lowry of Teen Mom 2 also took to Twitter to sound off on the Teen Mom 3 cancellation, “I can’t help but be a little offended by some of the things the girls of TM3 are saying. Cancelled or not we all relate somehow.”
Despite the cancellation of Teen Mom 3, this doesn’t mean the end of the Teen Mom franchise. Although MTV has not yet confirmed an air date, rumor has it Season 5 of Teen Mom 2, which follows a different set of girls (Jenelle Evans, Kailyn Lowry, Chelsea Houska, and Leah Messer) has been shot and will air in January 2014.
